Joan Kwuon, recognized for her "impassioned and poised" playing with a "bright, youthful edge" began playing chamber music at age 10. She made her solo debut at the Tanglewood Music Festival under the baton of André Previn and has performed as a soloist at concert halls worldwide with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, NHK Symphony of Tokyo, and Moscow State Symphony, Seattle Symphony, the State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, the Bulgarian National Orchestra and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, to name a few. In demand as a recitalist, Ms. Kwuon has been presented by Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Museum of Art, University of Illinois, George Mason University, Rockefeller University, among others, and participated in a variety of collaborations, including a recent duet performance with Tony Bennett at Jazz at Lincoln Center and Tanglewood. A native of Los Angeles, Ms. Kwuon holds degrees from Indiana University, The Juilliard School and the Cleveland Institute of Music. She is a member of The Juilliard School Assistant Faculty.

Oliver Caplan was raised in the Bronx. He graduated from Dartmouth College with honors in 2004 and received his Masters of Music from Boston University’s composition program in 2006. Compositional interests encompass both concert music and collaboration with artists in other media.  His piece for concert band Reason for Hope in a Complex World was premiered by the Columbia University Wind Ensemble in February 2008.  His works have also been presented by the Bronx Arts Ensemble, 11:11 Theatre Company, dance choreographers Mary Chris DeBelina and Susan Graham, members of the Boston Conservatory Orchestra, and the Dartmouth Chamber Orchestra. An avid hiker, he finds inspiration through his time outdoors.

Born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, Teddy Robie began studying piano at age six. He has played with the Raleigh, Durham, and Winston-Salem symphony orchestras, and has won several piano competitions. Mr. Robie is a recent recipient of the Gina Bachauer Scholarship and second place winner in the 1999 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. He has appeared in renowned festivals including Eastern Music Festival, PianoFest in the Hamptons, Yellow Barn and Music Academy of the West.

Mizuho Yoshimune is a junior at Bronx High School of Science. She won the gold medal in AADGT's (The American Association for Development of the Gifted and Talented) International Young Musicians' Competition "Passion of Music" in 2008, 2009 and 2010, and as a winner, she performed at Merkin Concert Hall and Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall. She also performed at Weill Hall as a first place winner of The New York Music Competition in 2007 and 2008. She was also a first place winner in the AMTL (The Associated Music Teachers League in New York) Scholarship Award Auditions and The Piano Teachers Congress of New York Competition. For the past nine years, she has been chosen to play in the annual Gifted Young People's Concert and the Awards Concert presented by the Leschetizky Association. In April of 2010, she appeared on News 12: The Bronx for her fifth performance at Carnegie Hall. For the past two summers, Mizuho has participated in The International Keyboard Institute & Festival at Mannes College, where she has performed in master classes. She will perform with the Bronx Arts Ensemble on Sunday, March 6.
