Selected by MUSICAL AMERICA as a YOUNG ARTIST OF THE YEAR 1990, FRANCISCA MENDOZA has performed to critical acclaim and standing ovations around the world. She has performed in North, Central and South America, Europe, Israel and the Far East. She has appeared at Carnegie Hall as a soloist with The New Chamber Orchestra of New York, has performed at Steinway Hall, Weill Recital Hall and Lincoln Center and she has been a guest with Robert Sherman at WQXR, New York. Her commercially released CD recording of Debussy and Prokofieff sonatas has been praised as “superb”…“enchanting…”. Her performances have been broadcast on radio and television in The United States, South America, Spain and Mexico.

During the 2015 season Ms. Mendoza was invited by the MUSEO DEL VIOLINO ANTONIO STRADIVARIUS, Cremona, to adjudicate the International Violin Making Competition 2015 and to perform in a Gala Concert at the prestigious TEATRO PONCHIELLI. She also toured Italy and Poland where she performed Zigeunerweisen to standing ovations at the Krakow Opera House, The Karol Szymanowski Academy in Katowice and Sala Baldini in Rome, by invitation of the Altamura Center for the Arts. Ms. Mendoza has also given Master Classes and has been invited for teaching residencies at Mount Royal University, Calgary, Canada, El Systema for the Philippino Youth in Philippines where she performed with the ABS-CBN Orchestra , and has taught at the Amati Conservatory and Amati Music Festival.

Pianist and co-winner of BAE’s Young Bronx Artist Contest GREGORY GUEORGUIEV is a junior at Bronx High School of Science, and is a student of Elena Belli. He attends the Pre-College Division of the Manhattan School of Music. A two-time winner of the Van Gelder Piano Scholarship Award, he has also twice won Honorable Mention in the Rosalyn Tureck International Bach Competition for Young Pianists, and in 2015 was Young Musician concert performance winner for AMTL (American Music Teachers League) in Carnegie Hall.
