It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the death of our board member, Dr. Frances Segan. Dr. Segan was a former NYC Department of Education administrator, specializing in curriculum development and bilingual special education. She was a member of Riverdale Temple, and the Director of Kingsbridge-Riverdale-Marble Hill Food & Hunger Project, Inc. which distributed meals and food necessities for homebound seniors and those in need. She was also a former board member for the Bronx Council on the Arts.
Dr. Segan is survived by her son, Marc Segan and his wife, Kristen, and their children Michael and Adam, Frances’ daughter Danielle Tocaben, her partner Cole Church, and her children Noah and Elliot.
The funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, December 30 at Riverdale Temple, 4545 Independence Ave, Bronx, NY 10471.
