“Cuba y Puerto Rico son…” “Humberto Ramírez’ 40 Years in Music and A Tribute to La Lupe”

Hostos Center presents “Cuba y Puerto Rico Son…” a concert celebrating Humberto Ramírez’ 40 years in music as a trumpeter, bandleader and artist. The concert will also pay Tribute to La Lupe, the Queen of Latin Soul and one of the most impactful female singers in Salsa and Latin Music. The concert will feature Michelle Brava singing with Humbert Ramírez and Lena Burke – scion of the famous Burke family from Cuba – singing the songs of La Lupe. Accompanying them will be the legendary Mambo Legends Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Jose Madera. And for the first time ever in New York City, the Bronx Arts Ensemble will join in performing strings, violins and more on La Lupe’s legendary ballads and torch songs, such as “La Tirana,” “Que Te Pedi,” and more! Not to be missed.
