Concert Description:
In dedication to our resilient frontline workers, BAE Teaching Artist Victoria Angela Ortiz(vocalist) presents a selection of inspirational songs that uplift and support the spirit of positivity. Her repertoire will include the American Songbook Standard “I Want To Be Happy” and her own Spanish language original compositions. Victoria will also present glimpses of her teaching artistry techniques in the premiere of BAE’s new online educational segments: “BAE: Behind The Music.”

Artist Bio:
Victoria Angela Ortiz, (vocals)
Victoria Ortiz is a classically trained vocalist, instructor, and entertainer based in New York City. She has been working for Bronx Arts Ensemble as a Teaching Artist and Director since 2014 and has sung all over the city in jazz concerts, musical cabaret revues, operas, and park events, including a performance of the national anthem for the Mets. Ortiz teaches Music in New York public schools, working with children aged 5-18 on voice and technique, along with choreography and acting. Ortiz has also appeared on talk shows and worked on film sets, commercials, and music videos. Her BAE Rosalyn Yalow Choir opened for the Bronx Opera Company’s “Messiah.”
