Bronx Arts Ensemble presents more than 50 free or affordable concerts each season. BAE presents both
music that reflects the communities in which we perform and music from outside those traditions. We program our season around our “Music Through A Global Lens” framework, which has thus far annually explored musical traditions of Cuba, India, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
Our concerts encompass classical, contemporary, jazz, and folk traditions. We include dance and other art forms in multidisciplinary performances that often feature the talents of our teaching artists. With concerts at schools, libraries, senior centers, and cultural institutions all over the Bronx, our goal is to serve every neighborhood with beautiful, interesting musical programming. Last year BAE put on 58 free or affordable performances, in over 43 Bronx venues, with over 12,300 attendees.
