Bronx Arts Ensemble opened its 51st season, “A Focus on the Human Condition,” where we delved into the rituals and experiences that define our humanity. Exploring the impact of social media, especially platforms like TikTok, the BAE string quartet presented a creative fusion of “TikTok” popular songs, composer-promoted works, and rediscovered classics.
The repertoire featured diverse compositions by Max Richter, Nia Imani Franklin, Ariana Grande, Joe Hisaishi, Angélica Negrón, and William Grant Still. It was a celebration of the intersection of classical music and the modern digital age!
